The coffee van at West Horsley Place
West Horsley Place is a Grade I listed, timber-framed house dating back to the 15th century, between Guildford and Leatherhead. It's run by a trust that opens the house and grounds for tours and open days, and you may recognise it from film and TV.
There's no permanent café on the estate. Instead, a coffee van serves visitors, and a cup outside in the grounds of a house this old is hard to beat. The trust also encourages picnics, so it pairs well with something from a local deli.
Before you go
The van follows the estate's opening, so check the open days on the West Horsley Place website before making the trip.
