Tonco Bakery is at the eastern end of Sharrow Vale Road, with its run of independent shops, on the site that used to be Seven Hills Bakery. It's an offshoot of Tonco, the much-missed Sheffield restaurant, and it's a bakery, café and greengrocer in one, selling local, seasonal produce alongside the bakes.
It has a great vibe and is very trendy. The bakers start before dawn, the sourdough takes three days to make, and there are cakes and pastries to go with your coffee. It's as good for stocking up on bread and veg as for a sit-down, and it puts on occasional evening events too.

It's usually open 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Go early for the best choice of bakes.
