Flying Horse Coffee, White City

Flying Horse roast their own beans at Mare Street Market in Hackney and have been at it since 2018. The White City café sits in the old BBC Television Centre, now offices, flats and restaurants, which makes it a handy stop if you're working or visiting in W12.

It's calmer than the Hackney original. The room is bright, there are plenty of hanging plants, and it suits a coffee with a laptop or a quiet catch-up as much as a takeaway.

The coffee

Everything is their own roast, with a seasonal single origin alongside the house espresso. The flat white is the thing people come back for, and you can buy beans to take home. They also have cafés in Shoreditch, Notting Hill and Holborn.
